Q. Who is Matchfire?
A. The selling party has retained Matchfire to manage this auction. Q. Is Bidder Pre-Qualification necessary to participate in this auction?
A. Yes. In order to help ensure a smooth and successful auction experience, Matchfire will be performing Bidder Pre-Qualification for this auction. To begin this process, please fill out the secure Bidder Pre-Qualification form.

Q. Why do all eBay members need to Pre-Qualify?
A. We realize that the Bidder Pre-Qualification policy may seem like an unnecessary procedure to eBay community members in good standing, but to ensure a safe and fair auction, we require that all bidders participate.

Q. Is bidding open internationally?
A. Yes, but only to Canada and Mexico. Only legal residents of the United States, Canada and Mexico are eligible to bid on this particular auction.

Q. I've won the auction! What happens next?
A. A representative of Matchfire will contact the winning bidder via email or phone to congratulate him or her as well as confirm the payment amount and payment instructions. Payment must be in US funds and received within three (3) days of the close of the auction.

Q. What are the accepted methods of payment?
A. We accept the following methods of payment: Bank wire transfer. 

Q. Will a receipt be provided?
A. Yes, a receipt for the final bid amount paid will be provided by Matchfire. 

Q. Who pays for shipping and how will the “CHIPS” Ducati Hypermotard be delivered? 
A. All delivery fees will be paid by Ducati. The vehicle will be shipped to an authorized Ducati North America dealer where the winning bidder will take delivery. Bidder will be responsible for $500 Dealer courtesy fee which will be added to the final bid price. Ducati North America will pay for freight, and uncrating or handling charges provided by the dealer. 

Q. What is the condition of title?
A. The vehicle has a clear title.

Q. Will there be tax, transfer of title and registration fees?
A. Yes. The winning bidder or their designee is responsible for paying all fees associated with tax, transfer of title, and registration according to their own state's requirements. Fees will be collected at the time of pick-up at the Ducati North America dealer. Tax will be based on the final bid amount.

Q. Is this purchase tax deductible?
A. Please contact your personal tax advisor for information on this issue.

Q. Is a warranty included? Does it follow the transfer of ownership?
A. As a used bike the warranty is already running and will expire on August 21, 2017. Ever Red, an extended warranty and service program is available in the United States through Ducati Financial Services. 

Q. How many miles will be on the "CHIPS" Ducati Hypermotard?
A. The vehicle will be delivered with less than 230 miles on the odometer.

Q. Will a Letter of Authenticity be provided?
A. Yes, a Letter of Authenticity signed by a representative of Ducati North America will be sent to you along with the item.

Q. What is the estimated delivery time? 
A. Barring unanticipated circumstances, the expected delivery time to the agreed upon dealer is 3-4 weeks after final payment is received and acknowledged. Delivery will be to a Ducati North America authorized dealer as agreed between the bidder and Ducati North America.

• Matchfire, the auction manager, is merely performing a management service on behalf of and at the direction of the selling party and as such is not responsible for any errors or omissions or for any warranties or guarantees either explicit or implied herein.
• The purchaser/high bidder agrees to pay within 3 business days of the close of the auction.
• Warranties: It is the buyer’s responsibility to preview the vehicle and determine its condition, originality and content. While descriptions are believed to be accurate, neither Matchfire nor Ducati North America or their employees, agents or contractors provide any warranties or guarantees express or implied, as to the genuineness, authenticity or accuracy of condition, or defect, if any, of the vehicle to be auctioned and will not be held responsible for discrepancies or inaccuracies in item descriptions provided, other than the warranties provided by the Seller.
• The vehicle is sold as is. It will have the graphics, movie prop police lights and siren as used in the movie “CHIPS.” It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to ensure that it is legal for them to purchase this motorcycle, and check with the country, state or local laws and ordinances with regard to the legality of ownership or operation of this vehicle.
• It is illegal to impersonate a Highway Patrol Officer under federal law. Buyer agrees not to impersonate a Highway Patrol Officer while in possession and use of the motorcycle.  
• PATH will receive 100% of the winning bid on this item. The winning bidder will receive, in exchange for payment of the full bid price to the seller, the item described herein, under the terms described herein.
• A portion of the winning bid which exceeds the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of the vehicle may be considered a contribution to PATH and for U.S. residents, may be deductible under the provisions in the United States Internal Revenue Code Section 170. Please contact your personal tax advisor for more information on this issue.
• All bids are binding.
• All bids are in US dollars.
• Vehicle being auctioned is a used 2015 model year Ducati Hypermotard with Vehicle Identification Number
• The MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price) is $12,195 excluding the value of added Ducati Performance accessories.
• The winning bidder is responsible for all tax, transfer of title, license, registration, insurance and other fees for the vehicle.
• Vehicle will be delivered with less than 230 miles on odometer; actual mileage is not available at this time.
• Vehicle is being auctioned by Ducati North America.
• Vehicle will be titled in the name of the winning bidder or their designee.
• Eligible bidder must be at least 18 years of age.
• This vehicle is certified for and eligible for sale and registration in the United States only.
• The winning bidder will take delivery of the vehicle through an authorized Ducati North America dealer to the final recipient. Although Ducati North America will attempt to accommodate the recipient’s choice of dealer, Ducati North America reserves the right to deliver the vehicle to the dealer acceptable to Ducati North America.
• The winning bidder is responsible for their own transportation to and from the delivery site.
• Subject to unanticipated delivery delays or constraints, or other factors beyond the control of Ducati North America, this vehicle will be delivered within 30 days after final payment is received and acknowledged.
• This auction does not include any items or services that are not detailed above.
• Winning bidder agrees to have their picture taken with the vehicle, and they also agree to let Ducati North America use their picture and/or their likeness for promotional purposes.
• Matchfire reserves the right to block a bidder for any reason including but not limited to, feedback, non-paying bidder, bid retractions, and recent bid history.
• Your participation in this auction constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
• Please note that due to the nature of high profile auctions, we have occasionally experienced attempted fraud through the use of second chance offers.
